Douglas Hamlin, President and Chief Executive Officer Douglas Hamlin, President
Mr. Hamlin has enjoyed many different roles ranging from software developer, to traffic-engineering consultant, to Vice President, President, and CEO since joining the firm in 1983. Mr. Hamlin is responsible for strategic planning for the future of the company, development of new technology and the formation of partnerships with other firms. He serves as the chair of the Transportation and Geographic Information Systems working group and as the co-chairperson for the Board of Directors of the Schools Interoperability Framework Association. Mr. Hamlin holds a B.A. in Geography from the State University at Albany and a Master’s degree in Regional Planning.

James E. Guzewich, Chief Financial OfficerJames E. Guzewich, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer
Mr. James Guzewich is the Chief Financial Officer of Tyler's Versatrans Solutions . He is responsible for all financial and accounting functions including financial reporting, payroll, retirement and profit sharing plans, banking relationships, capital financing and financial records management. Prior to joining Versatrans in 2003, he was Chief Financial Officer of a local insurance brokerage and benefit-outsourcing firm and has held similar positions with a local bank holding company and a number of regional start up companies. Mr. Guzewich began his professional career with a Big Eight public accounting firm, maintaining his CPA license since 1976. He holds a Master's degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Binghamton.

James E. Guzewich, Chief Financial OfficerTheodore J. Thien , Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Mr. Theodore J. Thien is the Vice President of Sales for Tyler's Versatrans Solutions. Mr. Thien is responsible for managing all aspects of sales for the company. Mr. Thien holds a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University. Earlier in his career, he spent seven years as an associate at an ENR 500 engineering firm, and later worked as a Practice Director at Oracle Corporation, where he led large teams in implementing applications for financial and inventory management, data warehouse, and e-commerce systems. In addition, Mr. Thien co-founded FulFill-Net. As president and COO of FulFill-Net, he was responsible for all aspects of product development, sales, and marketing. Throughout his career, he has also participated in initial start-up activities for companies located within the Capital District and in Colorado.

Terri Fallon, Marketing & Client Relations Director Terri Fallon, Director of Client Relations
Terri Fallon oversees all aspects of Client Relations for Tyler's Versatrans Solutions. Ms. Fallon’s management strength and experience in client relations provides Versatrans with excellent leadership in our client relations area.

Ms. Fallon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Bonaventure University.

John Lavazzo, Director of Software DevelopmentJohn Lavazzo, Vice President of Product Development
Mr. Lavazzo joined Versatrans in 2004 as Information Technology Manager. He was promoted to the Director of Software Development in November 2004. Mr. Lavazzo oversees the production of high-quality software products, technical writing and quality assurance of software development. He also serves as a member of the Executive Management team. He has over a decade of IT experience, education and skills. Mr. Lavazzo holds an Associate's Degree in Computer Information Systems Management from Bryant & Stratton College.

Kevin Ryan , Director of Client ServicesKevin Ryan , Director of Client Services
As Director of Client Services, Kevin Ryan manages the Technical Support Department and the Production Department. His most significant contributions to the firm include forging and managing our relationship with Navteq and introducing on-line technical support. Mr. Ryan has enjoyed varied roles at Versatrans since he joined the firm in February 1994. In his management role, he works closely with Software Development and Quality Assurance to ensure his staff is well trained and efficient on all VersaTrans Solutions’ products. Mr. Ryan has an A.A.S in Computer Information Systems from Hudson Valley Community College.

Julie Smithson, Training ManagerJulie Smithson, Director of Training
As Training Manager, Julie Smithson is responsible for ensuring top-quality training on all Versatrans products. Her strong background in software training management is thoroughly utilized to professionally develop on an on-going basis our training staff, to administer tough quality assurance standards in our training service, and for innovative curriculum development. Before joining Versatrans in 2005, Ms. Smithson acquired 15 years’ experience in customer service and software training management with other software firms and a third-party software training provider.

Michael Mosher, Director of SalesMichael Mosher, Director of Sales
Michael joined Tyler Technologies as Director of Sales for Versatrans Solutions in 2009. His primary responsibility is the oversight of the daily activity of the Regional Account Managers and Sales Associates.

With him, Michael brings significant professional sales and management training, including Achieve Global, Sandler, and the Emerging Manager Program. This training, along with his extensive sales experience enables Michael to effectively manage and support the Versatrans sales program.

Prior to joining Tyler Technologies, Michael was a National Account Manager for Pitney Bowes Business Insight, formerly MapInfo. He holds an Associate’s Degree from Hudson Valley Community College in Liberal Arts.

Melissa Belec, Marketing Manager
As Marketing Manager Melissa Belec is responsible for all aspects of marketing. Ms. Belec's balance of creativity and industry knowledge gives her the keys to creating successful marketing strategies and executing on campaigns in the K-12 school transportation market.

Before joining Versatrans in 2000, Ms. Belec worked in a school transportation department for a Versatrans client in Illinois.

Paul McMeel, Sales Operations Manager
As Sales Operations Manager, Paul McMeel is responsible for developing, planning, and implementing inside sales activities and managing the sales associate team. He also assists the Northeast Regional Account Manager in developing and maintaining relationships with clients in that region.

Prior to joining Versatrans in 2002, Paul worked as a Senior Account Executive for GlobalSpec, Inc. He holds an A.A.S. degree in Marketing from Hudson Valley Community College , and also attended The College of Saint Rose.

Kristen Michalski, Manager of Quality Assurance
Kristen Michalski joined Versatrans in 2003 as a Quality Assurance Specialist and was promoted to Manager of Quality Assurance in 2006. She is now responsible for the development, implementation and enhancement of test plans and test scripts. She maintains a high degree of error-free programs, procedures, systems and documents on all software releases. She also supervises and coordinates the activities of Quality Assurance and Level II support, and oversees technical writing of software systems.

Kristen has over a decade's experience in the software industry and has a B.A. in English from Siena College.

Darrin Everleth , Software Development Manager
Darrin Everleth is the project lead for Versatrans Routing & Plannning, our flagship product. In this role he manages the developers who work on Versatrans Routing & Planning. Mr. Everleth has been a member of the VersaTrans team since 1988. It is this long standing relationship that makes him an asset in the future development of our software.

Mr. Everleth holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Marist College.

Matt Baltich, Technical Support Manager
Matt Baltich joined Versatrans in 2001 as a Technical Support Specialist, and later gained additional familiarity with our product suite in the role of Quality Assurance Specialist. In September 2006, he stepped into his current position. As Technical Support Manager, he will be responsible for supervising the Technical Support staff and hiring additional members as the company grows.

Prior to joining Versatrans, Matt worked as a Site Trainer on financial accounting system software for KeyBank USA. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Siena College.

Elaine Pierce, Production Manager
In March 2006, Elaine Pierce entered the Client Services department as its Client Services Associate after serving over three years in the company's administration. Eight months later, she was promoted to her current position. As Production Manager, Elaine manages the Production staff, taking responsibility for the group's workflow and work quality in the digital map preparation process. Prior to joining Versatrans, Elaine was a Records Department Manager for Charter One Bank.

Charlessa Hughes , Senior Accountant
Charlessa Hughes joined the Versatrans finance department in 1997 as an Accounting/Administrative Assistant. She has held several finance-related positions within the organization while obtaining her degree in Accounting. As our current Senior Accountant, she assists the CFO in creating timely and accurate financial statements, and supervises designated functions of the accounting staff. Furthermore, she is responsible for accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliation and payroll.
